Guidelines on oral and poster presentations

Oral Presentations

Electronic PowerPoint or PDF presentations are only accepted format for oral presentation. File with presentation should be uploaded on the conference’s computer at least 15 min before the beginning of the session, preferably during the coffee or lunch break prior to your session. Technical staff will be available to assist with the upload if necessary.
The oral presentations will be 15 min including time for questions and discussion.
Speakers can find information on the day and time of their oral presentation in the schedule available on the conference website (https://embs55.ug.edu.pl/schedule/).

Poster Presentation

55 European Marine Biology Symposium will be held in a hybrid in-person/virtual format.
In order to make poster presentations (on-site and virtual) available to the conference participants all posters will be shared on the free-to-use platform padlet (padlet.com). The platform allows displaying the posters in gallery view and communicating authors online by posting text, images and even voice recordings.

ALL POSTER PRESENTERS ARE THEREFORE REQUESTED TO SEND THEIR POSTER PRESENTATIONS IN PDF to mgintowt@iopan.pl before September 12, 2022. The posters will be then put on the padlet platform. Volunteer authors are also encouraged to prepare 1 min poster preview video and submit it along with the poster. Link to the video presentation will be available below the poster.

PRESENTERS OF THE VIRTUAL POSTERS ARE REQUESTED TO PROVIDE A ONE-PAGE POSTER PDF as specified above and remain available on-line during the poster session.

ON-SITE PRESENTERS ARE EXPECTED TO PRINT AND POST THEIR OWN POSTERS IN THE POSTER HALL, AND TO PROVIDE A ONE-PAGE POSTER PDF as specified above.
Printed posters should have portrait orientation and be A0 maximum size (841 mm x 1189 mm).
